How to Rotate PDF Pages on Mac, Windows, iPhone & Android

On a Mac (macOS)

Browser method (recommended): open Rotate PDF in Safari or Chrome. Choose your file, set the rotation for each page (90° left or right, or 180°), and download. Everything runs in the browser tab — the file is read into your Mac's memory and the corrected output is built there, so nothing is sent anywhere.

Built-in method — Preview: open the PDF, show the thumbnail sidebar, select the page(s) and use the rotate button in the toolbar, then File → Export as PDF. It works offline but only rotates whole pages, and it's slower for many files.

On Windows

Browser method (recommended): open Rotate PDF in Edge or Chrome. Pick your file, set each page's rotation, and download — same local processing as on a Mac, no upload step.

Built-in workaround: Windows has no dedicated rotate tool. People usually open the PDF in a viewer and re-print it to "Microsoft Print to PDF" rotated, which re-renders the page and can blur scans. A browser rotator fixes the angle without re-encoding, so quality is preserved.

On an iPhone (iOS)

Browser method (recommended): in Safari, open Rotate PDF. Select your PDF from Files or Downloads, choose the rotation per page, and tap to download the fixed file to your iPhone. No app, no account.

Built-in method — Markup: you can rotate an imported image in the Photos/Marks flow, but for an actual PDF page it's limited. For a clean, multi-page fix the browser tool is easier.

On Android

Browser method (recommended): in Chrome, open Rotate PDF. Pick your PDF from device storage, set rotations, and download. It runs locally on the phone, so confidential files never leave it.

App method: Play Store apps exist, but many upload files or show ads and limits. A local browser tool does the same job without installing anything or handing your document to a third party.
